Home for the Holidays Essential Oil Blend

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Well, not really here in Arizona. We’re just now down to the 70's as the highest temps, but this Alaskan girl can dream, right?

Nothing signals the start of the holidays like the smell of fresh pine, citrus and cinnamon. I’ve created a special blend of essential oils that brings all the best of holiday scents together in one place. Use this blend in a diffuser or with a tablespoon of coconut oil in an electric fragrance warmer (Be careful, essential oils are flammable.)

Here’s some info on the benefits of the blend according to Aromatherapist, Herbalist and Wellness Expert Wisteria Ward of Needful Things Natural Home and Bodycare:

  • Atlas Cedarwood: balancer, anti-microbial, clarity, (powerful abortifacient, not as dangerous in a diffuser, but don't use it if you're in the first or second trimester)
  • Sweet Orange: uplifting, antiviral, calming
  • Cinnamon: antimicrobial for the air, wonderful for mrsa, auto immune support, traditionally used as an aphrodisiac, (contraindication: epilepsy)
  • Frankincense: grounding, good for mediation, mental clarity, antimicrobial, good for stimulating the brain

Blend

  • 10 drops Cedarwood
  • 10 drops Sweet Orange
  • 5 drops Cinnamon
  • 2 drops Frankincense
