Boost Your Water with Essential Oils!

If you, like many other people (myself included at times!) struggle trying get in enough water during your busy day-AND hate using public bathrooms-I have a tip that might make it a little easier. Add flavor and benefits to your water with food grade essential oils! Always use glass cups or bottles, never plastic. Besides not being a sustainable option, essential oils will break down the chemicals in plastic pretty quickly and you will end up digesting said chemicals. 1-3 drops is plenty depending on how much water you’re using. Some good EOs to try+their benefits:

◆ Lavender-sedative, antiseptic, antiviral, decongestant

◆ Peppermint-antiseptic, digestive, stimulant, analgesic

◆ Lemon-antimicrobial, antiseptic, diuretic, bactericidal

◆ Lime—antibacterial, antiseptic, antiviral, disinfectant, tonic

◆ Orange-antimicrobial, antiseptic, antispasmodic, sedative, tonic

◆ Grapefruit-antidepressant, antiseptic, diuretic, tonic, lymphatic stimulant

 ◆Cinnamon-antibacterial, antidepressant, aphrodisiac, analgesic

 ◆Ginger-laxative, expectorant, analgesic, tonic, antiseptic

Note: Be sure to check with your health care provider if you are pregnant or nursing to make sure it’s sade for you to ingest essential oils.
