Vegan Cauliflower Hot Wings

Many are coming together today at barbecues with family and friends to commemorate the holiday. If you're a vegan, you may feel a little left out with the lack of food that you're actually able to eat. Here's a simple vegan twist on an old favorite with a secret ingredient that takes this recipe over the top. It also makes a great side dish for meat-eaters and veg-heads alike!

Ingredients:

•1 head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized pieces

•2 T Apple Cider Vinegar(<---Secret Ingredient)

•2 T Lemon juice

•1/4 C hot sauce (I used original Cholula) 

•3 T Garlic powder

•2 T nutmeg

•1/4C Cayenne (or more to taste)

•1 t Sage powder

•2 T Black pepper

•1/2 C melted Vegan Butter or Olive Oil

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees

2. Pour melted butter over cauliflower pieces, add all other ingredients and toss until cauliflower is well coated

3. Spray a silicon baking mat with non-stick spray or olive oil and place on a cookie sheet

4. Place "hot wings" on the mate (make sure they're not touching) and bake for about 20 minutes

5. Enjoy!

*Adjust the ingredients to your own taste preferences, this is just a guideline. This dish is also delicious raw!*
