Adaptogenic Golden Milk Hot Chocolate
Since I love you guys, I’m going to share one of the recipes from today’s “A Very Golden New Year” online Facebook event right here on the blog.
Today’s recipe is an adaptogenic Golden Milk Hot Chocolate featuring one of the hottest ingredients in the wellness world right now, ashwagandha. What is an adaptogen you ask? Basically, adaptogens are things that help your body achieve optimum homeostasis for prime health and wellness.
Ashwagandha is an ancient Ayurvedic herb that can lower blood sugar levels, reduce cortisol, boost brain function, give you better sleep AND help fight symptoms of anxiety and depression. Combined with the Superfood raw cacao+my Golden Milk Powder, its a delicious way of achieving that #WellnessWarrior status. The easy recipe is below.
- 1/2 tsp Ashwagandha Powder
- 1/2 tsp Golden Milk Superfood Powder
- 1.5 tsp raw cacao
- 1 cup soy milk (or any vegan milk)
- 2 Tbs agave (adjust to taste)
- Combine all ingredients in a pot.
- Use a milk frother or whisk to combine.
- Heat until warm, but not to boiling
- Pour into a mug and enjoy!
