Goodbye 2020!

We are almost finally out of the year 2020! My dad preached a sermon this week, “No Fear in the New Year,” which opened by outlining all the crazy things we have endured this year. It brought me to tears but he quickly brought it back around with the numerous reasons as to why and how we can go into the new year without fear by walking with God.

I wanted to share a few things I really liked about 2020 and what I have coming up for you in 2021 here on D.I.D. with Cazoshay. Keep in mind that if you’d like to donate towards my goal of creating a sustainable farm that serves both the community and abused and neglected children, you can hit the “Donate” button below and contribute any amount.

This year I’ve become pretty obsessed with cooking with buttermilk. It can be used in sweet or savory dishes and just adds such an added layer of richness. Normally I stay far away from dairy products but butter and buttermilk are the exceptions. Recently I’ve done a buttermilk pork roast and used buttermilk in a broccoli sausage quiche and both were soooo good!

I’m also still obsessed with my kid who is now a big teenager who constantly garners “I can’t believe how tall he is!” comments, as well as comments that we look more like siblings than mother and son. Hey, I’ll take it! lmbo. He will always be My Best Boy and I’m so proud of the young man that he is becoming, much quicker than I was really prepared for yet here it is.

Still also obsessed with thrifting! It has come to a bit of a halt with the Coronavirus, but I’ve gotten a few things online. I had an almost $90 credit with ThredUp that I used to get some cute new items that you will more than likely be seeing sooner than later here or on Instagram or Facebook. Some of my new pieces include this awesome troll ugly Christmas sweater and the sparkly NYE dress that made it’s debut on the Eco Confetti post also posted today.

This has been a trying year for me physically as I continue to battle the ongoing effects of the traumatic accident that I endured in May of 2017. There isn’t a moment during the day when I don’t experience pain, and it’s not only debilitating, but greatly affects my ability to function.

Even with my ongoing physical issues, I still do the best I can, when I can. Being a super planner has definitely helped. I still have dozens of posts in queue, some going back to before the accident even happened, so I am still able to share with you all on a limited basis. In fact, some of the holiday posts I shared this year weren’t even created this year!

Here are a few of my favorite projects, recipes and posts that showed up in 2020:
